Made-in-Alberta Newsletter Oct. 19, 2009

Oct. 19, 2009

1. “Made-in-Alberta Season Four Opener”
http://madeinalberta.ca/season-four-opener-flash.shtml
Made-in-Alberta has been investigating and celebrating Alberta innovation in new energy solutions since 2004. This week, we launch Season Four with a look at upcoming new features and some old favourites.

2. Watch “Made-in-Alberta” on Shaw TV, cable 10 – starting Monday, July 27
Made-in-Alberta runs during the Shaw TV daily show on Mondays and the weekend show. Tonight it is playing at shortly after 4:00 PM, then not again until about 10:00 PM. It also plays Tuesdays from midnight to 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A good time to catch it on the weekend is Saturday or Sunday evening.

3. Having trouble watching Made-in-Alberta on-line?
If you have a computer less than five years old and a high-speed (Shaw or Telus) internet connection you will be able to watch all RBCC Web TV programming. Having  technical difficulties? Our web master, Bruce, is available 24/7 at 780-964-5567. He is happy to help you figure out the problem and get you watching the show. If you have any additional questions or comments about the Made-in-Alberta project or RBCC, please email me.

4. Barb’s Field Notes: Launch of Season Four!
MIA started in 2004, and yet we have just launched our fourth Season. How can that be? That’s because we have had two years when we took a hiatus from weekly production to improve this independent media venture. This Season you will see new segments designed to show off people and businesses who are working on sustainable development in our community, and my independent investigation continues. Is Alberta transitioning to a sustainable, new energy society? Let’s find out. Talk to you next Monday.
