Levantemos Chile Fundraiser: Saturday, 7:00 PM, Encore Club in Sherwood Park
The Chilean Canadian Cultural Society of Edmonton presents “Fuerza Chile!” this Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Encore Club, 957 Fir Street, Sherwood Park. There will be live music from multiple bands and a big Chilean fiesta with DJ kris king. Tickets are $20.00 and all proceeds go to “Un  Techo Para” or “Roofs for Everyone”. Barb’s Field Notes: Shaken up
I don’t usually send extra newsletters out, but this is a subject very close to our hearts at RBCC. As sad as we were to hear about the Haiti Earthquake, the Chilean one has really hit close to home. We have some good colleagues and friends who are from that country. Their close families have lost homes and businesses, but are alive thank goodness. One is still awaiting word from cousins and friends closer to the epicentre. Apparently the devastation is much worse than can be seen on the news. I would like to express my deepest condolences and sorrow to everyone who has been hurt so badly: Haitian, Chilean, Taiwanese, Human.

We are all together on a small planet.
